Garment Bag

A garment bag is essential for packing suits, dresses or other items that the traveller wishes to keep relatively unwrinkled. The basic principal of a garment bag is for it to allow travellers to pack their clothes on hangers. A garment bag is designed to hold two to four garments generally and range in length from 40" for men's suits, to 54" for women's dresses, and some can expand to 60" for evening clothes, in this case a wheeled garment bag should be selected. When choosing a garment bag, select a bifold or trifold design so that it can be folded into a manageable size for carrying. It is also recommended that it has a sturdy handle for carrying or an attachable shoulder strap

Duffel Bags and Holdalls

Duffel bags are crushable and expandable bags that come in a variety of sizes, shapes and materials, with a removable shoulder strap in addition to handles. The most basic duffel bag is the cylindrical bag with a single zipper running its length. These bags are usually made of thin nylon but are not very durable. Luggage duffel bags are usually made of stronger material such as a thick ripstop nylon or canvas-like material which will expand to hold a lot more clothing. Leather duffel bags have proven to be extremely durable in comparison to the nylon bags. A recent innovation in duffel bag design combines the best of all worlds: the rolling duffel bag. These duffel bags look traditional, but are attached to a hard-backed rolling mechanism making them a wheeled duffel bag.
